Rides so much better than an Xtracycle, Jennifer on 6/1/2011
“I rode a bunch of bikes and ended up with a mundo with a peanut shell on the very back. Both my husband and my other daughter can fit in the middle. All I can say is that it absolutely rocks! I love that it’s so much stiffer than the extracycle add-on and when it’s just me on the bike I feel like I can still shred it, more or less….”
Perfect Commuter Bike – By Chaosbarbie from San Francisco on 10/5/2010
I love my Yuba Mondo. I ride 16 miles a day to/from work over big dumb hills and it works great – I always have room for my lunch, my computer, a sweater, and if I feel like it, clothes for after work, presents, etc. It’s awesome not to have to go home and get the car on the way home before buying groceries. Since I’ve bought my Yuba, I haven’t has to look for parking when going shopping again – you can buy a watermelon (or two!), beer, milk AND your other groceries. When under weight, it handles great, but if the load is off balance, it can be tippy when trying to load up.
Get rid of your car! – By BusyLiz from Sausalito, CA on 6/19/2010
You can carry anything on this bike and still maintain great balance and comfort. I am 5′ 2″ and can ride my 135-pound husband, at least on flat ground. Unlike the competition, the Mundo has bottom rails for cargo or passenger feet, is highly adjustable (threaded steerer), and has a whopping 450-pound payload capacity. The electric pedal-assist version hums up big hills.
